One Year
Astrologers say that a mother and child pick one another before birth. That the relationship is written in the stars and the lives destined to be intertwined. As a mother, I’m sure that this beautiful idea is true. I was meant to be Tallulah’s mama and she was meant to be my daughter, of this I am sure. She has brought me more joy, laughter and fulfillment than I imagined possible. Stepping into this role of mother has been like settling into the most comfortable hug. It’s the most natural thing in the world and feels so right all of the time.
I’ve searched my whole life for purpose and it wasn’t until her birth that purpose found me. She has brought out my best and most authentic self. Her easy laughter reminds me to slow down and find the humor in all situations. Her ability to seek joy inspires me to do the same. She laughs without abandon, cries big and is so curious about life.
What an honor and true pleasure it has been to circle the sun with Tallulah. I’m thrilled to discover what the future holds for our sweet little family and know that as long as the three of us are together, there will be magic, big laughs and so, so much love.
